You Are Beautiful-Esther 2

Every Cinderella story has to have a Cinderella.

If not, the story wouldn't go right. So, meet the Cinderella of our story, in Esther 2: Hadassah, or Esther as we know her. Her backstory is this: her parents are out of the picture (for some reason), she lives with her cousin Mordecai and she is beautiful. We learn more about Mordecai than Esther; his dad was Jair, his grandfather Shimei, and his great-grandpa a Benjamite named Kish. Now, they live in Shushan at the time that Ahasuerus sends out the decree suggested by his servants. Remeber that he basically banished Vashti from the palace. After all the decrees about her had been sent, he finally remembered her. His servants tell him, "Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king" (Es. 2:2 KJV). The girls would be brought to the palace, and Hege, the chamberlain, would take care of them. They would be presented to the king, and whomever he liked best would become the next Vashti (in a manner of queenly status).
Ahasuerus liked this plan.
Fast forward to Esther, and fast forward to when she is taken to Shushan.
